Ingredients Of Lead Detox Product Brain Power ◊ Cell Renewal ◊ Detoxification ◊ Detox Black (Cumin) Seed DESCRIPTION Referred
to simply as “black seed”, we have included it in our formula because
it is a general tonic which boosts the immune function. The substance
known as black cumin seed has been used as a nutritional supplement for
centuries. It was even found in King Tut’s tomb, suggesting that even
centuries ago, great respect existed for black cumin seed’s beneficial
health effects. Ancient traditions document the use of black cumin seed
as an energy source, perhaps because of its rich nutritional value. The
seeds are still believed to increase heat in the body, making
metabolism more efficient. Black cumin seed has been studied
extensively, and the findings support its use as an effective herbal
supplement. Black Seed, also known as "the Blessed Seed," has
been traditionally used for a variety of conditions and treatments
related to respiratory health, kidney and liver support, digestive,
circulatory and immune system support, and to promote general health.
Derived from a plant with the botanical name Nigella sativa, black seed
is indigenous to Mediterranean areas, though it is grown in other parts
of the world as well. The seeds of the Nigella sativa plant are black
in color and look something like sesame seeds. Black cumin seed and oil
from the seeds is considered to have a number of beneficial properties
when used as a nutritional supplement that is part of an overall
holistic health program. Many studies show that, while black cumin seed
is effective by itself, it is particularly potent when combined with
other herbs in regimens used to treat specific ailments, such as
bronchitis, asthma, and emphysema.
Docahexaenoic Acid (DHA) DESCRIPTION Docahexaenoic
acid, or DHA, is a major component of fish oil. It is a polyunsaturated
fatty acid of the omega-3 type. DHA is a vital component of human
cellular membranes, especially those in the brain and retina. It is
necessary for optimal development of nerves in the nervous sysem, and
for visual acuity. DHA is the most abundant omega-3 fatty acid in human
breast milk. Supplemental DHA may lower triglyceride levels and in
some, may elevate good HDL-cholesterol levels. DHA is vital for normal
brain development for the unborn fetus and infant and for the
maintenance of normal brain function throughout life. Supplemental DHA
may have anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating activities. DHA
is taken up by the brain in preference to other fatty acids and is
incorporated into the phospholipids of the cell membranes of brain
cells and the retina (in the eye). DHA appears to be a major
determinant of membrane fluidity in brain cells, and this could play a
major role in the maintenance of normal cognition and mood. DHA is
indicated to lower triglycerides in some hypertriglyceridemic
individuals. It may also be indicated for pregnant women and nursing
mothers, for those with peroxisomal disorders (such as Zellweger's
syndrome), for cystic fibrosis sufferers, for those with attention
deficit disorder, dyslexia and, possibly, those with cognitive
impairment and dementia (including Alzheimer's disease). DHA is
essential for the growth and functional development of the fetal and
infant brain and visual system.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: At
present, DHA is contraindicated for hemophiliacs and those taking
warfarin, since fish oils themselves are known to increase bleeding
time and have anticoagulant properties.
Eicosapentaenoic (EPA) DESCRIPTION Eicosapentaenoic
acid, or EPA, is a major component of fish oil. EPA may be indicated
for lowering elevated triglycerides in those who are hyperglyceridemic.
EPA may play some therapeutic role in those with cystic fibrosis to
reduce disease severity and may similarly play a role in type 2
diabetics in retarding the progression of diabetic nephropathy. Mood Enhancing Properties of Fish Oils (EPA) and Docahexaenoic Acid (DHA)
DESCRIPTION Fish
oils appear to have mood-stabilizing properties when used in the
treatment of bipolar disorder. Overactive cell-signaling pathways may
be involved in the pathophysiology of bipolar disorder. EPA and DHA may
dampen signal transduction associated with phosphatidylinositol and
arachidonic acid. PRECAUTIONS: Check with your physician when
considering fish oil supplements for children, pregnant women, nursing
mothers, hemophiliacs, and diabetics. Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid(EDTA) DESCRIPTION EDTA
is the chemical compound ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. It has been
used in chelation therapy for acute hypercalcemia and mercury and has
been used for lead poisoning. Chelators are used in medicine
(chelation therapy), where they are employed to safely bind with
poisonous metal agents such as mercury, arsenic, or lead to stabilize
them and allow them to be excreted without further interaction with the
body. Olive Leaf Extract DESCRIPTION Olive Leaf
has been used historically as an anti-bacterial that destroys only bad
bacteria. It is also anti-fungal, antibiotic and anti-viral. A
phytochemical called oleuropein (pronounced oh-lee-or-oh-pin), is found
in the olive leaf. A natural supplement of olive leaf extract contains
substantial medicinal benefits. It is hard to avoid the
conclusion that there is something very special about the olive leaf.
For one thing, it is the first botanical mentioned in the Bible. "And
the dove came in to him in the evening, and lo, in her mouth was an
olive leafplucked off. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from
off the earth." (Genesis 8 : 11) In a much later biblical time
(Ezekiel 47 : 12), God speaks of a tree: "The fruit thereof shall be
for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine." Was it the olive tree?
In Revelations, at the very end of the New Testament, there is an
angelic vision of a "tree of life" whose leaves "were for the healing
of the nations." Today, as modern medicine increasingly embraces
phytochemicals it is interesting to speculate about the biblical "tree
of life." Again, was it perhaps the olive tree? The ancient
Egyptians may be been the first to put the olive leaf to practical use.
They regarded it as a symbol of heavenly power, and in keeping with
that belief, they extracted its oil and used it to mummify their
kings. Later cultures found the leaf was better utilized for the
living than the dead. Over the ages, there is documentation that it was
a popular folk remedy for combating fevers.
Selenium DESCRIPTION Selenium
is a trace mineral that is essential to good health but required only
in small amounts. Selenium is incorporated into proteins to make
selenoproteins, which are important antioxidant enzymes. The
antioxidant properties of selenoproteins help prevent cellular damage
from free radicals. Free radicals are natural by-products of oxygen
metabolism that may contribute to the development of chronic diseases
such as cancer and heart disease. Other selenoproteins help regulate
thyroid function and play a role in the immune system. There is
evidence that selenium deficiency does not usually cause illness by
itself. Rather, it can make the body more susceptible to illnesses
caused by other nutritional, biochemical or infectious stresses.
Selenium supplements may be protective against goiter, which refers to
enlargement of the thyroid gland. Attention Deficit Disorder ◊ Bipolar ◊ Lead Exposure ◊ ADHD Ingredients of Brilliance Product Iron DESCRIPTION Excellent
for producing hemoglobin and myoglobin (the form of hemoglobin found in
muscle tissue), and helps to pump the red blood cells full of oxygen.
It is the mineral found in largest quantities in the blood, is
essential for many enzyme functions, and for a healthy immune system.
Vitamin C DESCRIPTION Vitamin
C is an antioxidant that is required for at least 300 metabolic
functions that our bodies perform. It is essential for tissue growth
and repair, adrenal gland function, and healthy gums. It boosts our
immune systems, and protects against pollution from the environment.
Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron, and combines with toxic
substances such as lead and heavy metals to make them harmless, so they
can them be eliminated from the body.
Magnesium DESCRIPTION Magnesium
is a vital catalyst in enzyme activity, especially for those enzymes
that are involved in energy production (Lead drains the body of the
ability to produce energy). It assists in calcium and potassium
absorption.
Zinc DESCRIPTION Zinc protects the liver
from chemical damage and is vital for bone formation. It promotes a
healthy immune system and healing of the body.
Mind Enhancing Complex including: DESCRIPTION o L-Aspartate from Magnesium Aspartate: promotes energy production in the cells of the body. o
DMAE: is a memory booster, stabilizes cell membranes, reduces
behavioral problems and hyperactive behavior associated with Attention
Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or ADHD. DMAE increases Attention Span,
decreases Aggression, improves Learning ability and sometimes increases
Intelligence in 70% of attention deficit patients. o EPA 18%: is a major component of fish oil. EPA helps reduce severity of cystic fibrosis and diabetes o
Lecithin: can be found in many foods, including egg yolk. It is also
sold as a supplement, usually extracted from soybeans. Lecithin is a
major source of choline, which is believed to have a positive effect on
some mental functions, especially those connected to memory. It also
aids in digesting fats and lowers cholesterol in the blood. o Colloidal Silver: is a natural anti-biotic that prevents against infections. o
Grape Seed Extract: is a powerful antioxidant from the seeds and skin
of grapes. As an antioxidant, grape seed extract works as a free
radical scavenger. It binds to the unpaired electrons of free radicals,
and helps remove them from the body. Free radicals come from daily
activities and they occur in the body as a result of exercise, smoking,
pollution and other factors. o Gingko Biloba Powder: is an herb that is excellent for improved brain function and memory |
